At concept design level, Biopharmax team of experts studies the inputs and suggest improved solutions taking into account compliance to the latest regulatory standards (EMEA, FDA,), all while taking into account minimal CAPEX and OPEX with an efficient plant operation.
At this early phase of the design, a program is made, outlining the building requirements, systems and processes with a brief analysis highlighting advantages and disadvantages of each solution.
Experience plays a crucial role in conceptual design, providing the baseline for an optimal solution, and avoiding common pit-holes. This allows the later phases of design and implementation to go through faster and smoothly.
Engineering Scale-up
Scaling up a production process is a very complex engineering challenge. The task is complicated by changes in material behavior such as decrease of separation performance and loss of material during the process. Sizing equipment for optimal performance and maintaining parameters for larger production quantities are not straight forward processes. Careful attention must be given to the material characteristics, process requirements and overall production throughput.
Biopharmax has many years of experience in different scale up projects, and is able to quickly develop a scale-up plan based on the results of laboratory scale production.
